This year’s lineup of courses featured interactive sessions led by top practitioners, offering attendees from prestigious institutions and varied sectors the chance to build skills and expand their professional networks.
One highlight of the Annual Meeting courses was the LES CLP Exam Review, a tailored course for those preparing for the Certified Licensing Professional (CLP) exam. This interactive course provided a thorough overview of key IP licensing domains, supporting attendees on their certification journey.

LES presented its brand-new intermediate-level Negotiation Skills course focused on honing participants’ negotiation strategies within IP contexts, emphasizing situational awareness and problem-solving tactics essential for achieving balanced outcomes in complex negotiations. This course included an interactive mock negotiation so attendees could practice their new skills live in the session.

Another standout was Drafting Patent License Agreements, hosted by Finnegan. This course explored the complexities of crafting enforceable licensing agreements, a critical skill for IP professionals. It equipped participants with strategies for structuring robust agreements that addressed both the licensor and licensee perspectives.

The Foundations in IP Valuation course attracted representatives from institutions like Lawrence Livermore National Lab, Singapore Institute of Technology, and Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies. This in-depth course covered the market, income, and cost approaches to IP valuation, along with risk assessment techniques, empowering participants to confidently handle valuation tasks.
