Frank Barnes Mentor Award
The Frank Barnes Award was established in 2000 by a group of LES members to memorialize Frank Barnes’ vast contributions to the field of licensing through mentorship. Each year at the LES Annual Meeting, the Frank Barnes Award is presented to an LES member who has dedicated considerable time and energy to mentoring fellow licensing professionals.

Graduate Student Business Plan Competition
In 2004, the LES Foundation, with support from LES (U.S.A. & Canada), Inc., hosted its first Graduate Student Business Plan Competition. The event grew quickly in both size and popularity among students in the U.S. and Canada and in 2008. Thanks to a partnership with the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI), it went global, welcoming student participants from around the world.
