Gillian Fenton Awarded Highest Honor by Licensing Executives Society (USA & Canada), Inc. (LES)
Fenton is awarded an Exemplary Service Award at Annual Meeting in Boston.
BOSTON, MA – October 28, 2025— Gillian Fenton has been awarded the LES President’s Exemplary Service Award by the Licensing Executives Society (USA & Canada), Inc. (LES). The award, the Society’s highest honor, was presented during the Annual Meeting, October 21, at the Marriott Copley Place in Boston.
LES President’s Exemplary Service Award was established in 2018 and is the highest honor that LES can give to a member of the intellectual capital management (ICM) community. This award honors an LES volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to the health, vibrancy, and well-being of the Society.
“In recognition of her outstanding dedication to education, mentoring and her unwavering commitment to LES since 1999, including her time as president during Covid, we are proud to present Gillian Fenton with the LES President’s Exemplary Service Award,” said Evelyn Chen, President of LES. “Her leadership and service have made a lasting impact on both our Society and the broader licensing community.”
Fenton currently serves as the Founder and Executive Director of LST Strategies LLC, an independent law practice dedicated to life science transactions. Ms. Fenton provides expert advice on business development deals (licensing, collaboration, R&D, tech transfer), government contracting, and requirements of the Bayh-Dole Act. She also provides business consultation expertise in the life sciences industries to Held IP LLC, on a project-by-project basis. Her activities include support for monetization of intellectual property (IP) protected technologies through partnering, licensing, acquisitions and dispositions. She also provides expert witness services for select matters relating to IP issues.
