Edgar Baum, Founder & CEO, Avasta LinkedIn
Edgar is dedicated to empowering business leaders with the knowledge and expertise needed for growth and prosperity. He founded Avasta, The Profitable Growth Company, to tackle complex business challenges through insights and financial analytics. With extensive experience across various industries and a focus on brand and intellectual capital measurement, Edgar advises AI-technology firms and also teaches at the University of Toronto.
Sean Clark, Director of North America IPR & Licensing, Ericsson LinkedIn
Sean has worked for over 20 years licensing patents across a variety of companies and technologies. Prior to joining Ericsson, Sean was a director of licensing at TiVo, Inc., monetizing TiVo’s extensive media technology portfolio. Sean has also worked in similar roles at Microsoft, Intellectual Ventures and Lattice Semiconductor. He holds an LL.B. from the University of Birmingham and an LL.M. in Transnational Business Practice from McGeorge School of Law.
Ken Korea, Arbitrator, Mediator, Colev Law LinkedIn
With over 30 years of experience in intellectual property, specializing in patent licensing and technology-focused M&A, he serves as an independent arbitrator and mediator for various ADR panels. Most recently at Samsung Electronics, he was Senior Vice President of IP, managing numerous patent matters, including the high-profile Apple-Samsung patent disputes, plus major patent cross-licenses negotiations. Previously, Ken was a partner at leading US law firms. He holds a BSEE from Cornell University and a JD from Northwestern University.
George Park, Vice President, Business Development, IPValue LinkedIn
George joined IPValue in July 2005 as the lead for business development, focusing on building relationships with innovative enterprises to optimize their patent portfolios. With a background that includes roles at Exponent, McKinsey & Company, and the RAND Corporation, he brings extensive experience in technology assessment, corporate strategy, and market analysis. George holds an MBA from UCLA and a PhD in Physics from Stanford University, complemented by research at NEC Labs in Japan.
Sam Wiley, VP of Thought Leadership & Partnerships, LOT Network LinkedIn
Sam joined LOT Network in 2023 to lead thought leadership and partnerships initiatives. With a background in IP law, he has worked with the USPTO, testified in Federal court, and advised clients from Fortune 100 companies to boutique law firms on streamlining IP operations. He holds degrees in computer science, law, and accounting, and serves on the Licensing Executives Society Board as co-chair of the Content Committee.
