Viewpoints: Meet Your Proposed Leaders — Slate Of Officers and Directors For 2025-2026

It is my honor as Past-President of the Society to serve as the Chair of the Nominating and Leadership Development Committee. This role gave me an opportunity to learn more about our dedicated volunteers and connect with some outstanding LES members as we considered candidates for the open leadership positions. I would like to extend my gratitude to the other participants of the Committee: Chair and President— Evelyn Chen, Chair-Elect and President-Elect—Mike Perham, and at-large LES members Gayatri Varma and Amélie Côté for their thoughtful contributions, as well as all members of the Society and the Board of Directors who submitted recommendations for new Directors and Officers.

After careful deliberations, the Nominating Committee proposes the following slate of candidates for election to the 2025-2026 term:

  • As President: Elect and Chair-Elect: Mihaela Bojin
  • As Secretary: Michele Riley
  • As a Director: Kannan Krishnaswami
  • As a Director: Amélie Côté
  • As a Director: Steven Ferguson
  • As a Director: Jack Lu

These candidates have been advised of their nomination and have agreed to serve their term if elected.

Bringing on new Directors is necessary for the progress and vitality of LES—it recognizes active contributors to the organization and ushers in innovative ideas and diverse perspectives for the management of our Society. I encourage all of you to vote for this 2025-2026 slate and continue your engagement with our Society. Vote here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MTZFDKQ
