Chitra Kalyanaraman is Senior Counsel, Data Enablement for Johnson & Johnson, providing strategic legal guidance on data management and AI development activities for MedTech R&D and corporate functions. Since joining Johnson & Johnson in 2021, Chitra has also served as Senior Patent Counsel, providing intellectual property counseling and deal support for data science and computing projects across the enterprise.

Prior to her time at Johnson & Johnson, Chitra spent 12 years in private practice as a patent prosecutor, patent litigator, and general IP counselor in top law firms in Washington DC and San Francisco. Her practice ranged across a variety of technologies, including artificial intelligence, autonomous aviation, computer vision, image processing, medical devices, and the Internet of Things.

She holds a JD from American University Washington College of Law, and a BS in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
