Semiconductor Committee

Semiconductor Committee Mission

  • Provide a forum for education, discussion, and networking for all interested LES members concerning the technology transfer and licensing of semiconductor technology, patents, and products.
  • Identify important issues in semiconductor licensing and facilitate member engagement to discuss and address these issues.
  • Disseminate the results of the group's work within LES via publications and workshop sessions at LES meetings or in special seminars

Programming Themes/Tracks
The Semiconductor Committee has identified several topics of interest to review, including:

  • The impact of increasing complexity of semiconductor products like system-on-chip devices using many IP blocks and patented innovations on licensing strategies and practices
  • The relationship and interactions between technology and patent licensing at various points in the value chain
  • China and other emerging economies and their impact on semiconductor licensing
  • The impact of ongoing industry consolidation

Proposals for presentations, panels, or workshops along these themes are encouraged

Ongoing Activities
Company presentations and committee calls are scheduled on a regular basis. Please email if you would like to be included on the invite or have any suggestions for future presentations.
