The Licensing Executives Society’s Emerging Enterprises Committee is hosting its next monthly webinar on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 12:00 pm Eastern.

This Committee aims to educate and to increase the visibility of IP topics of interest to the entrepreneurial community within the Licensing Executives Society. As part of this aim, we support the LES Foundation International Business Plan Competition. We encourage participation from all members of the entrepreneurial culture. The webinar will explore licensing and partnering with universities. We are excited that Julie Watson, special counsel at Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP, will lead the discussion; it is geared toward start-ups, innovators, emerging enterprises, and the professionals and executives who want to help entrepreneurs take an idea from nothing to something. 

Our presenter, Julie Watson, is an attorney registered to practice in Illinois, North Carolina, and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She is also a Certified Licensing Professional™ (CLP), and she has relevant, real world experience as the former Director of Intellectual Property and Legal Counsel at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine; the Director of Intellectual Property Services at the American Medical Association; and the Vice President of the Advanced Research & Technology Institute at Indiana University. Julie also holds an MA in biopsychology from Johns Hopkins University and completed advanced graduate work in neuroscience at Northwestern University.
