Trademark & Character Licensing. Protect, Preserve, Promote & Profit. Managing your brand in the licensing field

Javier Zamora, Assistant General Counsel, NIKE
Matt Dyste, Director of Marketing and Brand Development, University of Oregon
Mike Cohen, Shareholder, Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt

Nike and the Ducks are both Oregon-grown stories and nationally and internationally recognized icons.  At this special LES event we'll hear from representatives of both about a different side of licensing than patents and copyright:  marks, likeness, and maybe a little about a certain cartoon character's relation to an Oregon mascot.  Our three excellent panelists will discuss the numerous licensing and rights acquisition issues involved in collegiate brand licensing, product endorsement and product placement arrangements.
