Laura Fahey Fritts
serves as the Director of Patent and License and Chief IP Counsel for the Office of Technology Transfer of Emory University. She oversees Emory’s in-house patent group and provides contracting advice to the licensing team. Before joining Emory, Laura spent twelve years representing branded and generic pharmaceutical companies in Abbreviated New Drug Application (“ANDA”) litigation arising under the Hatch-Waxman Act. She has been recognized by Chambers USA, by Managing IP in the “Top 250 Women in IP” and as an “IP Star,” and by LMG Life Sciences as a “Life Sciences Star.”

Timothy Holbrook is a Professor of Law and the Associate Dean of Faculty at Emory Law School. Professor Holbrook has authored more than thirty publications and has given over one hundred presentations around the world on patent law. His work has been cited in briefs before the US Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and various District Courts. The Federal Circuit and District Courts have cited his work favorably, and he has authored or co-authored numerous briefs before the Supreme Court and the Federal Circuit. He is an elected member of the American Law Institute.  He clerked for the Honorable Glenn L. Archer Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

John Murphy focuses his practice on patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property litigation.  In spite of the prevalence of patent litigation brought by non-practicing entities, the great majority of John's experience is in disputes between business competitors. Consequently, John frequently goes beyond the courtroom to advise on the strategic business uses and implications of IP litigation. John represents both plaintiffs and defendants in district courts and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, as well as the U.S. International Trade Commission, arbitration panels, and mediators.  John is an author of a patent litigation and strategy casebook, which he co-authored along with Federal Circuit Judge Kimberly A. Moore and Emory Law Associate Dean and Professor Timothy Holbrook. John also speaks and writes regularly on developments at the Federal Circuit and in patent law.

Bernard L. Zidar, Chief IP Counsel for McKesson Corporation, handles all IP matters for McKesson Technology Solutions. He manages the company's patent and trademark portfolios, handles trademark clearance activities, trade secret and confidentiality issues and litigation of IP disputes. McKesson Technology Solutions is part of McKesson Corporation. In 2014, this division of McKesson ranked as the No. 1 health IT company in the nation.
