Today, conversations about patents and technology involve important concepts such as technical standards, standard-essential patents, and FRAND licensing. This webinar will cover each of these topics, with a particular focus on cellular standards (e.g., 4G LTE, 5G).
This presentation will also explain how patent pools promote the adoption of important worldwide standards, particularly in emerging markets. In particular how patent pools can mitigate global patent licensing friction by providing a fair, transparent and reasonable licensing platform for all ecosystem participants.
• Standards play an important role in global technology adoption
• Market seeks transparent, balanced collaborative licensing solutions
• Patent pools provide efficient mechanism to license SEPs and how pools meet the needs of the market
