Other panelists to be announced
Entrepreneurial companies, both large and small, are often looking to raise additional capital to fund expansion or to cover operating costs while they build out their products. Those that have invested in their patent portfolios now have a new way to raise capital using their Intellectual Property. Innovative funders can provide fresh operating capital based on the company’s IP portfolio; the funders obtain a return on their investment through licensing or enforcement of the patents. This model does not require the issuance of new equity, nor the payment of interest, as other capital funding models do. The program will discuss the parameters of this funding model, including benefits and risks, and how it compares with other methods of raising capital.
