The Vancouver Chapter of the Licensing Executive Society is very pleased to invite you to a presentation by Mark Edwards of BioScience Advisors Inc., where he will discuss current biopharma licensing topics ranging from recent trends in biopharma sublicensing to effective royalty rates in alliances and will provide an answer to the ultimate question of how often one can change the deal. Over the past 30 years, an impressive number of biopharma alliances have been announced with massive amounts of committed capital in many of these deals. What parts of these deals typically get changed over time? Do sublicensors of biopharma technology share the wealth with their upstream licensors? What effective royalty rates and other financial terms are currently considered ‘standard’? Attend our last lunch event before the summer break to find out.
Mr. Edwards was the founder and managing director of Recombinant Capital (Recap) for two decades. In 2011, Mark founded BioScience Advisors, a consulting and database firm focused on biopharma alliances. He is a charter Certified Licensing Professional and an active member of LES who has presented at several dozen national and regional LES meetings.
