Kristin Edstrom - CPG Brand Licensing Professional, New Business Ventures

Kristin’s professional career has been in Consumer Product Goods brand and trademark licensing.   Starting early on in kids & youth marketing with an Agency for McDonald’s Corp., Kristin’s experience in brand and trademark licensing started in Entertainment, Music and Youth property brands such as Disney, Mattel’s Barbie and Hot Wheels, Jim Henson’s Muppets, Charles Schulz, Peanuts, Ty, Inc.’s Beanie Babies and with professional sports associations including the NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS, along with licensing Athletes/Persona’s for McDonald’s US National Promotions.

Kristin’s trademark licensing experience transitioned into more Corporate Trademark Licensing working with global and up-and-coming Co’s and brands including; General Motors & Turtle Wax (Automotive), General Mills (Betty Crocker, Cheerios, Wheaties, Gold Medal, Trix, Lucky Charms), S.C. Johnson (Glade, Pledge, Shout, Windex, Scrubbing Bubbles, Raid, Off), Red Robin Restaurants, I-Hop, Grupo Modelo (Corona, Modelo, Victoria, and Pacifico Beer brands) and Ty, Inc.’s ever popular Beanie Babies.

Kristin’s experience also includes working with Private Equity M&A teams and Investment Groups to commercialize Portfolio owned brands & IP’s. Hilco Consumer Capital; Polaroid, Sharper Image, Linens & Things, Halston, and Again, Holdings, Bonwit Teller. 

Kristin more often represents the brand owner (Licensor), however has represented the Licensee’s side of a License Agreement negotiation.
