The meeting will also include a unique day of joint programming co-hosted by LES and the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM).
"As businesses work to do more with less, and science and engineering continue to offer new opportunities to improve our lives and our world, we are seeing more and more organizations leverage the power of IP to seize these new opportunities to remain competitive in today’s tough marketplace," said LES (USA & Canada) President Tom Filarski. "Given this, our meeting is designed to supply attendees with valuable insight and tools for value creation."
LES (USA & Canada) has assembled a world-class lineup of speakers, who will address hot topics in the industry, including:

Attendees will customize their meeting experience with mini-plenary sessions focusing on nanotechnology, clean tech, and medical devices, as well as selecting from four tracks of workshops covering: Development & Deals; Value & Valuation; Updates in Patent Law; and Hot Tech Topics.
On March 14, LES and AUTM will convene to co-host a day of joint programming, beginning with a lively negotiation session titled: "Dirty Little Tricks People Play in Licensing Negotiations." Immediately following, the Honorable Randall Rader, Chief Judge of the Circuit Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, will preside over a series of mock oral arguments debating pivotal issues affecting technology transfer. Attendees will be invited to ‘weigh in’ during this entertaining and informative session.
"These are challenging times, and the importance of collaboration between colleagues across industries and among allied groups is increasingly vital for success," said Filarski. "We are very pleased to have this opportunity to bring our professional groups together to network, collaborate and debate some of the most critical issues facing our industry.
