12th Annual Deals of Distinction™ Award Winners to be Recognized in Vancouver
Winners of the LES (USA & Canada) Deals of Distinction™ will be Honored at the Upcoming Annual Meeting, October 23-26 

WASHINGTON, D.C. – October 10, 2016 — Three of the year’s most outstanding intellectual property and licensing deals have been named Deals of Distinction™ by the Licensing Executives Society (U.S.A and Canada), Inc., (LES), and will be recognized during the upcoming 2016 Annual Meeting, October 23-26, at the Vancouver Convention Centre in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

The awards are presented annually to promote creative and innovative solutions and recognize the most exceptional IP business deals in three industry sectors, including High Technology; Life Sciences; and, Chemicals, Energy, Environment and Materials.

The 2016 Deals of Distinction™ award winners are:

High Technology Sector: Nokia, Audi, BMW, and Daimler - Nokia's HERE Mapping and Location Business

Chemicals, Energy, Environment & Materials Sector: Kimberly-Clark Corporation and Imaflex Inc. - Superabsorbent Polymer Licensing Agreement

Life Sciences Sector: Precision Biosciences – Baxalta (now a part of Shire) - ARCUS Genome Editing Technology

Representatives accepting the awards will share details about each deal during the upcoming annual meeting. The awards will be presented on Monday, October 24 beginning at 12:15 PM during the LES (USA & Canada) business meeting luncheon.
