11th Annual Deals of Distinction™ Award Winners to be Recognized in New York City

Winners of the LES (USA & Canada) Deals of Distinction™ will be honored at the Annual Meeting

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. – October 26, 2015 — Four of the year’s most outstanding intellectual property (IP) and licensing deals have been named Deals of Distinction™ by the Licensing Executives Society (U.S.A and Canada), Inc. (LES), and will be recognized this week during the 2015 Annual Meeting at the Marriott Marquis in New York City.

The awards are presented annually to promote creative and innovative solutions and recognize the most exceptional IP business deals in four industry sectors, including High Technology; Industry-University-Government Interface; Life Sciences; and Chemicals, Energy, Environment and Materials.

The 2015 Deals of Distinction™ Award winners are:

  • High Technology Sector: Rockstar consortium portfolio sale to RPX Corp. 
  • Chemicals, Energy, Environment & Materials Sector: Kimberly-Clark – UltraTech International Odor Removal Technology Collaboration 
  • Industry-University-Government Interface Sector: Case Western Reserve University license to AeroClay for multi-use clay-based aerogel material
  • Life Sciences Sector: Pfizer-Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany – Global Strategic Alliance to Accelerate Immuno-oncology Presence

Representatives accepting the awards will share details about each deal during this week’s event. The awards will be presented tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 27, beginning at 12:15 PM during the LES (U.S.A and Canada) business meeting luncheon.
