Presentation:

Industry and Academia have different mandates. Industry has shareholders and seeks to remain competitive while academia has an obligation to the broader community and disseminates information. Yet there is definite value in industry/university collaborations. Where is that “sweet spot”, what are the sticking points and how do we manage the outcomes of such collaborations especially intellectual property? Join Craig Stenhouse – Manager, COSIA from Cenovus Energy and Neil Campbell – Senior Legal Counsel/Research from the University of Calgary who will provide a brief perspective from each side of the table.  This will be followed by a panel discussion.
