Presentation:
Jeff Peterson will cover strategic considerations relating to how financial provisions can be structured in license agreements.  The discussion will include different examples of license provisions for running royalties, fixed fees, milestone and minimum annual royalties, as well as how in-artful drafting of such provisions can lead to issues for licensing parties.

Speaker Bio:
Jeff Peterson is a partner in the IP group of Michael Best, which has recently opened an office in Raleigh Durham, NC.  Jeff serves as lead licensing counsel for a diverse group of companies ranging from large biotech concerns and new technology start-ups to software, agribusiness, and midsize manufacturing companies, as well as a number of universities.  Complete Bio.
