Is there any field that is more forward-looking than fashion? The fashion industry’s lifeblood is creation, innovation, novelty… words that are synonymous with intellectual property. Yet the combination of these two worlds does not always seem quite obvious to achieve.
For this unique LES event, we invited Danielle Charest, Vice-president and senior partner at la Maison Marie Saint Pierre and Nathon Kong, Founder of Tailor2Go to present their points of view on IP in the world of fashion. We will conclude with a medley of ready-to-wear yet bespoke protections against copycats, presented by Maître Daniel S. Drapeau, of DrapeauLex Inc. The following subjects will strut the catwalk:
- Readiness: The ideal weapon; How to protect your best brand: Your name;
- Mr. Anton Piller: Why you want to get to know him; and
- For the grand finale: A form of protection available only in Quebec.
This world premiere, in English and French, will be of interest to fashionistas and intellectual property passionaras alike.
