9 Months Later - Diagnosing the effect the U.S. Supreme Court's Alice decision and its progeny have had on the patent industry and value of software-related patents (Panel Presentation and Discussion)

Adam Gill, Principal, Gerchen Keller Capital, LLC
Robert Greenspoon, Founding Member, Flachsbart & Greenspoon, LLC

Please join us for a lively luncheon discussion on the post-Alice patent landscape to date. This panel will discuss the practical consequences of Alice on software patent owners and the industry generally, as well as the potential changes in value attributed to software-based patent assets. We will hear different perspectives on these issues from patent professionals from different sectors of the industry, including a high-technology company, an investment  firm focusing on legal risk, a defensive-based patent acquirer, and outside counsel. The discussion will also include perspective from Germany and Europe, and how software patentability issues are handled abroad.
