The differences between the patent laws in Europe and the U.S., although not great, do contain some subtleties that could cost inventors/companies/clients unnecessary costs and delay in prosecuting their patent applications there. With the rules and their interpretation shifting, it is important for patent attorneys to better understand the nature of those rules on behalf of their clients, and the differences between the U.S. style and European preferences. The speaker, an expert on the rules and frequent presenter worldwide on the topic, will provide the audience with practical tips to posture cases efficiently and cost-effectively.
