Bill Liu
Bill Liu is a global business development professional adept at identifying, assessing, securing, and growing top talent and clients through his outstanding networking capabilities and quality deliverables. Proof of this statement:

  • At his current firm, NaviAsia, where Liu is a consultant and Partner, he has introduced over 65% of their total clientele that has generated over 80% of their total business with U.S. companies interested in China. Prior to PwC, Liu was a Biotechnology Supervisor for the Institute of Gas Technology where he supervised five direct reports and had full P&L responsibilities for a $2M bioengineering group. His first position was as a Project Engineer for Waste Management, where he was recognized with the President's Award for Technical Excellence.
Liu has an MBA in Marketing, Finance, and International Business from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management in Evanston, Illinois; a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign, Illinois; a MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma, and a BS in Environmental Engineering from National Chung-Hsing University in Taiwan. Liu is bicultural and bilingual, speaking English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese equally fluently.

Ada C. Nielsen
Ada Nielsen created the Intellectual Asset Strategy & Management Team for Exploration and Production Technology in BP America Inc. in 2008, having a strong track record in identifying and extracting value from non-commercial inventions, leading and closing significant commercial transactions, and developing new products and new businesses. Her BP work continues a long history of making money for companies in market-facing invention spaces, having commercialized dozens of inventions and creating new ventures in chemicals and energy.
She creates high-performing, collaborative teams.

Ms. Nielsen was the 2010 President of the Licensing Executives Society, USA & Canada, following volunteer roles in the LES Education Foundation and Chair of Chemicals, Energy, Environment and Materials for LES International (LESI) as well as Chair of Education for LESI. As immediate past-president in 2011, she chaired the nominating and award committees. She is one of the co-developers of the intellectual asset strategy modules in the LES USA & Canada Education courses as well as co-developer and co-presenter of the most recent advanced offer, CyberCompetitive Intelligence.

In her early tenure as President, she initiated the IP100, a committee comprised of company and university members of USA Canada as well as created "Around the World with LES," a global observance and celebration of World IP Day. "Around the World" in USA Canada featured 11 offers of PDS 100, the one-day introductory course entitled "Commercializing Technology through the Power of IP Licensing," and networking receptions in virtually all the chapters of USA Canada (28 celebrations). She also turned the finances around of the organization to operate in the black.

She participated as an invited expert instructor for the World Intellectual Property Owners' and the International Atomic Energy Agency's Regional Technical Cooperation Programme in Vienna in early July 2010. In January 2011, she was elected a Director of the Chicago Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, an organization for mid-market M&A professionals. She continues in this role. In February 2011 she was the keynote speaker for a Tusiad-sponsored innovation conference in Istanbul, was a speaker for senior licensing professionals at Merck, a speaker at the Fashion Institute of Technology (NYC) about using IP for consumer branding in March, and an innovation speaker at BASF (NJ) in May.

Ms. Nielsen is a past president of the Commercial Development and Marketing Association (CDMA, an association organized around commercialization of new products and creation of new businesses in the chemical industry), was chairman of the Chicago Chapter and is former chairman of the CDMA Educational Foundation. She was one of the developers and instructors in the CDMA market research course & was responsible for developing and teaching CDMA's commercial development course.

In addition, she chaired the Valuation and Taxation Committee for IPO (Intellectual Property Owners) from 2004-2006 and has participated in several other IPO committees. In 2008, she was invited to serve on the newly formed Advisory Board to the Illinois Institute of Natural Resource Sustainability following more than six years' service in the statutory role as chemist for the IL Board of Natural Resources & Conservation. In addition to LES, LESI chair positions, IPO committee chair and the Illinois environmental boards, Ms. Nielsen belongs to the American Chemical Society, Association for Corporate Growth, and AUTM.

She earned an A.B. in chemistry from Wellesley College, an M.B.A. in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business, and studied theoretical physical chemistry in graduate programs at Tulane University and Dartmouth College. She is a Certified Licensing Professional.

Michelle J. Rozovics
Michelle J. Rozovics bases her practice upon the belief that attorneys can be caring, personable professionals while simultaneously providing zealous, quality and sophisticated legal services.

Rozovics Law Firm, LLC is a small, McHenry-county based law firm which focuses on helping businesses with between 1 and 100 people transition into the global marketplace, and towards that end educates small and mid-market business owners about their rights and obligations under local, national, international and treaty laws.  The Firm assists clients in selecting and forming business entities, drafts and negotiates a wide variety of business agreements, including purchase and sale, commercial lease, and distribution and agency agreements.   On a litigation side, the Firm represents local, out of state and foreign businesses in a wide variety of business litigation matters in state and federal courts. Michelle is particularly interested in helping businesses with between one and 100 employees transition into the global marketplace.  Michelle and the other attorneys in her office work extensively with clients with technology issues, in many industries, ranging from software development, to computer hardware manufacturing, to global advertising services, to artist representation.    Michelle is admitted to practice of law in the State and of Illinois, the Northern District of Illinois Trial Bar, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, and as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts in the United Kingdom, Wales and Scotland.  Prior to opening her own law firm, Michelle obtained extensive experience as a litigator with a large national law firm, and as in house staff counsel for a Fortune 500 company. From 1996 until 1998, Michelle was a visiting lecturer in law at universities in Katowice, Poland and Nizhni Novgorod, Russia, where she taught courses in European Union law, comparative and international law, U.S. contract law, and legal writing. She was appointed by the Illinois State Bar Association President to the International & Immigration Section Council in 2009, and has helped establish the policies, programs and direction of that section since that time.  Michelle has been named a Contributing Editor for a book to be published in 2012 by the American Bar Association titled, Multiple Bar Admissions:  A Guide to Bar Admissions Outside the United States.  She has written and spoken extensively on issues of international law, business law, civil procedure, and legal practice, including two chapters in books published by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education.  The Rozovics Law Firm, LLC has been featured in various American Bar Association journals.

The Rozovics Law Firm, LLC also employs attorney Mia B. Wery, an attorney with experience in general business transactions, civil litigation and employment law.  The firm also employs Holly A. Bochantin, a paralegal with substantial experience in civil litigation.  In January 2012, a patent and trademark attorney will join the firm, along with an intellectual property paralegal.
